FAQs
What is an IV Infusion?
IV infusion is giving hydration, and vitamin administration through the bloodstream. Bypassing the digestive tract helps for 100% absorption.
How long does an IV infusion last?
A normal Infusion last around 45 to 60 minutes. In return we have a relaxing therapeutic environment for you to be in until it is finished. You will be able to use our complimentary message chairs, Zen music/lighting, or even catch up on your favorite show.
How often can I get an Infusion?
You have to wait a minimum of 24 after your last infusion before getting another one. No more than 3 infusion in a 7 day period. A variety of vitamins need to be given time to absorb so that the concentration in your body does not exceed certain levels.
What can I expect from my experience?
When you book your appointment you will be sent a medical information chart to fill out by email. Once you arrive at our location you will be greeted by our staff. Our IV technician will go over your health information with you and take a set of vital signs. You will then get to talk with our medical director face to face. (This is only required for your first visit with us, and will not be necessary after your first appointment) Your Vitamin Infusion will be prepared, and started. You will get to sit in one of our complimentary message chairs, and relax throughout the experience. The IV will be removed after the Infusion finishes. We will wrap the IV sight and give your further instructions if needed. Intramuscular injections can be given at this time as well.
Does it hurt?
Our IV technicians are highly trained in the IV infusion process. We are able to through careful technique and numbing medication to complete the procedure with minimal discomfort.
Is it safe?
We understand that this could be new to many people, but IV infusions are something that are practiced all different levels of medical care. From the moment you step foot in our office you’ll get an opportunity to talk with our medical director about your current vitals and health information. After your meeting you can customize your IV with your IV technician. Your specific concerns, medical history, and allergies are all taken into consideration before picking the vitamins that are best suited for you.
What happens if they are unable to get an IV in my arm?
Everyone’s veins are different. Depending on your hydration, heart rate, or blood pressure it can be difficult to get an IV. Our IV technicians will attempt a total of 3 times per session. If unsuccessful don’t worry we understand, and we will schedule another day for you to come in for your Infusion.
What is Normal?
You might feel the temperature of the fluid into veins. We have an IV warmer on site to help keep IV fluids as close to body temperature as possible. There can be bruising and bleeding from the IV sight. This is an invasive procedure, and by putting an IV into the vein wall this punctures the side of it so when you pull the catheter out of the vein blood can pool under the skin or out of the injection site.
How long does it take for me to feel the benefits?
Just with fluids alone most people feel better right after the appointment. For certain medications, and vitamins the effects can be felt a couple days up to 2 weeks after the appointment. Everyone’s body is different. Each body absorbs vitamins different so there is no set time that can be expected.
